This model fits the Peugeot 3008 and 5008 from 2009 to 2016.
Step 1:
Unclip the silver trim from the gear lever (shaped like a rectangle) by pulling on the small sides of the rectangle (one side at a time). You have to pull quite hard, but it comes off quite easily. Be careful, however, as it may break. We do not recommend using a screwdriver for prying, as you risk marking the plastic.
2nd step:
Lift the silver trim as high as possible so that it is not in the way. You will need 2 flathead screwdrivers to unclip the parking brake switch. There are 4 clips on each side that you will need to push to be able to remove the parking brake switch. 2 screwdrivers on one side so as to release the clips and on the other side pass your hand underneath to push the clips. 3rd step:
Once the parking brake switch has been dislodged from its location, it will need to be disconnected. The pin is very easy to remove. Simply tilt the lever, which will disconnect the pin from the switch. Use a flat screwdriver to lift the lever. When the switch is disconnected, you may hear a 'beep' emitted by the car. Nothing abnormal. Disconnect the switch and replace it with the new one. Tilt the lever again, which will press the pin onto your new switch. Insert the switch into its housing, checking that it has 'clipped', and replace the silver trim. You're done...
Test the operation of the parking brake before driving off.
